End of Season.

Focus Balls

The tree is down. The balls are off. I am the kind of person (as well is Phil) who loves getting rid of this stuff right after New Year’s. Growing up there was always a family in the neighborhood who kept their tree up until spring. Anytime a firetruck rolled by we stared at their house expecting flames. “Must be the McDonovan’s! That tree has been up for months!” my mother would yell. It was always a strange thing in early May to see a brown fur tree sitting at the end of their drive-way waiting for garbage pickup. Bits of tinsel shimmering in the spring sunshine. “The garbage men must think this family is crazy. If I was them, I would refuse to pick up their tree this time of year!”
